ITP is currently recruiting an Engineering Director to lead its Engineering Department based in Louveciennes near Paris.
ROLE
The Engineering Director leads the Engineering Department, within which he/she supervises a team of about twenty people (Project Engineers, technical leads, and Specialist Engineers).
He/She reports directly to the CEO.
The Engineering Director is responsible for developing the technical expertise of his/her department’s members and provides appropriate resources and technical support to other departments (Projects, Fabrication, Methods, R&D, Tenders, and Commercial).
He/She ensures the performance and quality of the studies carried out, in-line with the schedules, and enhances the technical knowledge of the company’s teams. The main tasks of the Engineering Director include:
Piloting the Engineering Department
Managing the Engineering team
Maintaining and developing technical expertise within the company
The Engineering Director is also responsible for the implementation, monitoring and resource management in order to meet the company’s QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) objective, within his/her team.
MISSIONS
Piloting the Engineering Department:
Transposing the strategic development axes defined by General Management into the Engineering Department
Defining and implementing the Department’s organization
Establishing the workload plan and allocating resources, in connection with the needs of other Departments
Driving recruitment for the Department: defining needs, job descriptions, evaluating candidates
Managing the Engineering Process: updating methodological guidelines; monitoring KPIs and improvement actions
Preparing the annual budget
Managing relationships with other Departments
Management of the Engineering team:
Leading and facilitating the team on a day-to-day basis
Defining collective and individual objectives, evaluating performance
Supporting the career development of team members
Maintaining and developing technical expertise:
Supporting the resolution of technical issues
Actively participating in the industrial development of ITP products, contributing to the emergence of innovative solutions
Developing a technical repository for the company’s products
Managing the identification and implementation of lessons learned within the Department
Establishing / maintaining external partnerships (engineering firms, laboratories, etc.)
This position is a full-time permanent contract.

Basis salary to be defined depending on experience

Graduated from a top French engineering school or equivalent, with a focus on mechanical, thermal, or material disciplines, you have proven experience in management positions in technical environments, including at least 10 years in the Oil and Gas sector, on EPCI projects, and with a track-record within engineering companies.
You have worked on projects with a strong pipeline dimension.
Your past responsibilities have already led you to manage a service/department with budget and resource commitments, and to handle high-level Client and Supplier relationships.
You are accustomed to working in project mode and your English level (minimum C1) allows you to work fluently in an English-speaking environment.
Proficiency in French will be valued.
You have technical knowledge in Mechanics, Thermal, Materials, Metallurgy, Welding, Pipeline, Soil Mechanics, Corrosion, with advanced expertise in one or more of these specialties.
Your interest in technical subjects and your intellectual curiosity make you an essential contributor to the development and improvement of the company’s products.
As a manager, you know how to lead by example, and you are at ease with setting a clear framework.
